Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre
The future Equestrian Valley – Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centrehas recently completed its concrete structure of the main building.
The Centre is located in the Shanghai Expo Culture Park in Pudong District, covering a surface of 3.32 ha. It is composed of a 90x60m competition arena, warm-up paddock, training ring, horse boxes, VIP rooms and over 5000 public seats. The goal is to build a multiple-functional equestrian venue for competitions, quarantine, trade, culture and young rider training.
This equestrian venue in the heart of Shanghai city will be the first permanent CSI 5* level arena in China. The Centre is financed and managed by Shanghai Juss Event- a state-owned enterprise in charge of major sports events on behalf of Shanghai Municipality, such as Formula 1 Shanghai and Rolex Shanghai Masters.
Since 2014, the Longines Global Champions Tour Shanghai has been held by Shanghai Juss Event in a temporary arena in Pudong District, face to the China Pavilion built for the Expo Shanghai 2010. It is expected that the new Centre will be inaugurated in 2023 and host the LGCT Shanghai after 3 years of interruption by the pandemic.
